Foster Care Adoption
Every child deserves a home and a family to call their own. Although the purpose of foster care is to provide a temporary family to a child in need, in some cases children cannot be reunified with their families safely and a permanent home is needed. Family Service and Children’s Aid contracts with the State of Michigan to provide adoption case management services to children who are in foster care, but who are free for adoption.
We also complete adoption home studies for families who are interested in adopting a child out of the foster care system. The adoption staff guides families through the process, and helps them locate waiting children in the foster care system. We provide training that assists families in preparing to care for children who have been the victims of abuse and neglect.
FSCA is committed to finding permanent homes for the many children who are waiting for a family, but we need your help. If you feel that your family could provide a loving, nurturing home for a Michigan child in need, please contact us at 517-787-7920 or fill out an Inquiry Form. FSCA offers an Adoption Orientation by appointment. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to schedule an appointment for an orientation.
