“When I came to Family Services, I was pregnant, addicted to drugs, and wanted a better life for myself and my baby that was coming. I attended Doug’s “Intensive Outpatient” group and weekly appointments with my therapist Kaitlyn. I completed intensive outpatient, dropped down to “Outpatient”, and then joined the “Helping Women Recover” group. The HWR group with Shannon was a safe place for me to connect, relate to other women, and feel safe. HWR group taught me even more coping skills and I knew that I was not alone. I have been working with Kelly in case management and setting goals for myself, such as having a drug-free birth, getting safe and affordable housing, a vehicle, employment, and studying for my GED. I had a drug-free birth, and my daughter is a healthy and happy baby. I have my daughter with me, my own apartment, a reliable vehicle, starting to study for my GED, and I have an amazing support system with FSCA, SOAR, and the recovering community. Even the front staff is very supportive, I love me some Tami. I can call and talk to anyone when I have problems, and they are always really supportive. Because of the education and support, I will have a year of recovery on October 12, 2020. Family Services is amazing and love them.” Rachel
