Family Service and Children’s Aid (FSCA) is a private, fully accredited, non-profit agency founded in Jackson, Michigan in 1944 to serve the emotional needs of the citizens of Jackson County.

Building Strong Families, Building Strong Communities
The mission of the agency is, “Building Strong Families. Building Strong Communities.” Our mission, in action, is to strengthen the emotional health and functioning of children, adults, and families through counseling, education, adoption, foster care, advocacy, adult guardian services, and program development.
Today the agency is a multiservice organization which serves more than 10,000 people a year. The agency is regarded as a vital support for individuals, families, and children of any socioeconomic background who are experiencing social, emotional, or family problems. FSCA currently operates 13 programs to meet its mission of strengthening families and communities, all of which are fully and nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). All FSCA programs programs are accredited for the provision of services in mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, on-site counseling (in the schools and home), employee assistance, adoption, foster care, community education (prevention including parent education, drug and crime prevention programs), adult guardianship, and for governance, administration, and financial management.
Services are available to all residents of Jackson County without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.
