About Family Service and Children's Aid

A private, fully accredited, non-profit agency founded in Jackson, Michigan in 1944 to serve the emotional needs of the citizens of Jackson County.

Our Mission

Family Service and Children’s Aid (FSCA) operates 13 programs, serving over 10,000 people annually. Our services include counseling, education, adoption, foster care, advocacy, adult guardian services, and program development.

All programs are fully and nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), ensuring the highest standards of quality and effectiveness in serving our community.

Services are available to all residents of Jackson County without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.

Behavioral Health Programs

Individual and family counseling, therapy services, and mental health support to help families overcome challenges and build resilience. Services offered in elementary school/high school and college.

Substance Use Disorder treatment, counseling, and support. Women’s Specialty supports families with a pregnant individual with substance use concerns.
