The Jackson Area Recovery Community (JARC) had an event at the MLK Jr. Center on May 22nd, and FSCA was well represented. Kelly Beck, our Enhanced Women’s Specialty Peer Advocate/Case Manager, and Riley Kidd one of our SUD Case Managers spoke on the panel. Both were very compelling. They talked about the need for agencies like ours to be responsive to the unique needs of people of color in the Jackson recovery community. They were joined by Adam Gant (JARC Coordinator), Myeisha (Uni) Cunningham (Lead Pastor/Raven-Brook Recovery Church), and Ashley Torrence (S.E. Michigan Works Customer Service Assistant).
