Much fun was had by all at FSCA’s annual Trunk or Treat yesterday evening! Every year we host a Trunk or Treat in our parking lot for the children in our foster care program, children of clients in our program, and our own FSCA families. The Trunks are created and hosted by FSCA employees and board members. Enjoy the many cute pictures!
FSCA’s Substance Use Disorder Program received a generous donation of $905.00 from the Jackson Country Club’s Women’s Invitational Golf Tournament. The Women’s Invitational has always been very generous to our agency, and we thank them again for supporting our work! Sarah Sabin, FSCA Clinical Director received the check from Country Club Membership Director, Wendy Zaggy.

Flagstar Bank Branch Manager, Katie Osman presented our CEO, Dr. Bob Powell with a check for $5000. Flagstar is supporting FSCA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work. FSCA is working hard to be a more inclusive and equitable employer, as well as meet the needs of all of the diverse communities in the Jackson area with our services. We are grateful for Flagstar’s support of our work!
The Jackson Area Recovery Community (JARC) had an event at the MLK Jr. Center on May 22nd, and FSCA was well represented. Kelly Beck, our Enhanced Women’s Specialty Peer Advocate/Case Manager, and Riley Kidd one of our SUD Case Managers spoke on the panel. Both were very compelling. They talked about the need for agencies like ours to be responsive to the unique needs of people of color in the Jackson recovery community. They were joined by Adam Gant (JARC Coordinator), Myeisha (Uni) Cunningham (Lead Pastor/Raven-Brook Recovery Church), and Ashley Torrence (S.E. Michigan Works Customer Service Assistant).
