Behavioral Health Programs

Important: NARCAN® Saves Lives

NARCAN® (naloxone) can reverse an opioid overdose and save a life. We encourage community members to keep NARCAN® on hand and learn how to recognize and respond to an overdose emergency. Learn more about NARCAN® and where to obtain it through Drug Free Jackson Resources.

The recovery position can be a life-saving technique when someone is unconscious or drifting in and out of consciousness due to a possible overdose or medical emergency. Proper positioning can help keep a person’s airway open and reduce the risk of choking while waiting for emergency assistance. Learn more about the recovery position through Michigan State University Extension Harm Reduction Resources
